Q: Does everyone have a spirit guide? TinaA: Absolutely. Spirit guides everyone. Spirit guides, loved ones and of course, an angel or two or more can guide us! And why do we care if we have a spirit guide? Because, they can guide us when we need to be consoled or to be guided, rightly, through challenging times.

The difference among them is as follows:
1) Spirit Guides can include dearly departed, like loved ones, fellow colleagues, neighbors, friends, etc, who offer a skill set or advice regarding a matter you are currently dealing with in your circumstance. They can also include a dearly departed pet or a spirit animal (mine change all the time, depending on my situation) that can offer their guidance.

2) Dearly departed are just that, loved ones who crossed over. Sometimes, they just hang about to check in with you, to bring comfort and or they, like you, still have some unresolved issue while they were alive. Typically, once the unresolved issue becomes resolved they are freed to come and go more freely. So, if you still have a gripe with a loved one, go right them a letter or talk to them aloud (privately of course ~ we don’t want people to get the wrong impression of you!)

3) Angels: Not your dearly departed grandma, mother or father, child or anyone else for that matter. Though, dearly departed can resemble angelic qualities, I am talking more about the beings of light that every religion and non-religious group on the planet refers to in their spiritual practice. Angels are too big to have one religion call them their own, like God/Rah/Creator, they are omnipresent and serve as messengers for God. They will help us in times of need or guide us.

It is important for you to BELIEVE in your guides, dearly departed and angels for them to serve on your behalf. But, then again, you wouldn’t be reading this if there wasn’t some level of belief within you regarding the subject matter.

If you still have some hesitancy, skeptical (which, by the way, is healthy), just ask the spirit(s) to reveal themselves to you in some tangible manner. The best way I recommend is during a dream. Ask them to visit you in your dreams before you lay to rest at night. Your mind is more open, relaxed and receptive to receive their presence and their message(s). If you don’t get anything, after you ask, keep asking until it happens. You have to warm up to having the experience. Especially if you happen to be one of those people who says out loud ‘but, I don’t remember my dreams!’ Yes you can remember. You have free will….like any human being on this planet. That is the beauty of our species. Just ask your guide, departed and or angel to help you remember your dream experience. Then it happens, when you least expect it!
Normally, spirit’s and angelic energy, is at a higher frequency than our own. So, they need a way to enter and our dreams allows them to enter our sphere more gently. That also means you may witness other phenomena while they enter: anything that is electric (lights and such) or mechanical are usually effected. They shut down, turn off, or flicker….as I mention this, my daughter’s princess castle toy, that sits beside my desk, keeps setting off by itself (plays princess music). When these things occur, stop and listen, which is the second most important thing to do. My dad always used to say  that we have two ears and one mouth. We are supposed to listen twice as much as we talk! Good advice.
