‘Getting Beyond Past Experiences Of Racial And Gender Discrimination’
Q: What do you recommend for someone that cannot get beyond past experiences of racial and gender discrimination? I have been carrying around stuff for over 40 years…and I need to let it go. Michele
A: Good idea Michele ~ in light of the Trayvon/Zimmerman case, I think this subject matter is worthwhile addressing for a mass majority in our world. Bottom line, we are talking ‘hate’ ~ hate breeds more hate. As you discovered, the burden rests on your soul ~ so it is important to release this toxic energy from your being to prevent illness. That’s the biggest thing you can do for yourself and others in the world. As a big believer in the power of love and its ability to heal, I recommend asking the heavens to release the burden of your persecutors so that you can free up energy, your power, to bring forth positive movement in your life ~ as well as others surrounding you.
This is how: sit in a quite space with your eyes closed and welcome angels of light (or God, Buddha, Christ ~ whomever you feel within as your sacred guide) into your sacred space for support. Then visualize, in your minds eye, the person(s) who caused you harm stand in front of you (even if you can’t see them in your minds eye, pretend as if you could see and then say the affirmation within your mind). Bless the person(s), by name, with love and light. Then thank the angels for releasing the burden and restoring your heart with peace, love and joy. Visualize the angels surround their wings of light around this person(s) and fly away with them into the heavens. You’ll feel a shift. You may have to repeat this exercise many times when you notice the pain or anger return to the heart, which is normal because you are conditioned from 40 year old patterns. Continue this practice and soon you’ll find that it is erased with compassion for those individuals…’for they do not know what they do’. Keep me posted Michele, bless you for making the attempt. LL
